Todd J. Burke . Todd Burke is a Partner with Gowling WLG. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, professional liability defence and crisis management. With over thirty years of practice experience Todd has handled sensitive matters in a variety of sectors including technology, transportation, real estate and construction. He is also regularly called upon to address high value corporate disputes and issues of reputational integrity. He is a former Lead Trustee of the Firm and is currently Co-Leader of the Firm’s European Initiative.
Matthew Bernardo. Matthew Bernardo is Toronto based Partner in Gowling WLG’s Infrastructure and Construction industry group. Harnessing his broad experience advising on a range of complex infrastructure and construction projects in Canada and the United States, Matthew brings practical sector know-how and a strategic business perspective to all of his client engagements. Matthew advises clients across the infrastructure and projects space – including contractors, equity developers, service providers/facility managers and procuring authorities, throughout the life of the project. Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Matthew acted as legal counsel for Acciona Infrastructure.
Mark Platteel. Mark Platteel is a Partner with Gowling WLG. Deeply immersed in Canada’s infrastructure sector, Mark advises clients across the full lifecycle of projects, with particular emphasis on complex financing transactions and public-private partnerships (P3). Over the course of his career, Mark has worked closely with a range of public and private sector participants – including procurement agencies, developers, contractors, financial institutions, project entities and advisors – in bringing landmark infrastructure projects to fruition across the country and throughout North America. Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Mark was the General Counsel of ACS Infrastructure Canada.
